Connecting a Reader/Keypad
Reader/Keypad Inputs
The AC-1 includes a full interface to a single Wiegand (AC-1) or an ABA (AC-1-ABA)
access card reader. The modules were designed to allow keypads that have similar
interfaces (Wiegand or ABA) to be connected in place of a reader. Integral reader/keypad
units are also supported.
The module supports one or two reader LEDs. The first is connected to the standard LED
output connection and the
optional
second is connected to the Input 1 (AUX) connection.
Note: If you decide to use two LEDs, you sacrifice one supervised input.
The Wiegand reader or keypad unit is connected to the AC-1 module as shown below:
