  If your Andritz Water Pump is not conveying medium, several factors could be at play. It might not be sufficiently pre-filled, or a vapor lock could have formed; in this case, repeat the pre-filling process and increase the NPSH System. Alternatively, the differential pressure between the inlet and steam pressure might be too low, requiring you to check the suction line and increase the NPSH System. Other potential issues include air entering the suction line or shaft seal (check these components), blockages in the suction line, valve, or impeller (inspect for blockages), incorrect speed conditions (verify the speed), excessive pipe resistance (check pipe resistances), a closed pressure-side valve (open it), or a blocked pressure line (flush it).

  If your Andritz Water Pump is experiencing high power consumption or power loss, there are several potential causes to investigate. Begin by checking the motor speed, as it may be too high. Also, verify the direction of rotation of the motor. Examine the pipe resistance, and check or correct the valve setting, as excessive flow resistance can contribute to this issue. If the density or viscosity of the medium being conveyed is unexpectedly high, contact ANDRITZ for further instructions. Lastly, inspect the pump itself for issues such as a deformed or eccentric pump shaft (replace if necessary), rotating objects rubbing inside (dismantle and inspect), or worn, damaged, or blocked components (check and replace parts as needed).
