If the steam function on your anko Coffee Maker isn't frothing, consider these points: 1. Ensure the steam ready indicator light is on, as the steam function will only work when it's illuminated. 2. The container might be unsuitable; use a high, narrow cup for frothing. 3. The type of milk matters; use whole milk or half-skimmed milk instead of skimmed milk.

Why does my anko Coffee Maker espresso taste like acid or vinegar?
    • D
      Donna AdkinsAug 28, 2025
If your espresso from the anko Coffee Maker tastes acidic (like vinegar), it could be due to a couple of reasons. It might not have been cleaned correctly after descaling; in this case, clean the coffee maker several times following the 'before the first use' instructions. Alternatively, the coffee powder may have gone bad from being stored improperly. Use fresh coffee powder, and store any unused powder in a cool, dry place, resealing it tightly or refrigerating it after opening.
