Overview

This document outlines the setup and usage of an IP camera for remote viewing via a mobile application, "Annke Vision." The camera can function either independently or in conjunction with a Network Video Recorder (NVR) for recording and playback.

Function Description:

The IP camera is designed for video surveillance, offering remote preview, recording, and playback capabilities. It can be used as a standalone device or integrated into an existing NVR system. When used independently, it supports TF card storage for recording and playback. The primary function is to provide real-time video feeds that can be accessed and managed through the "Annke Vision" mobile application. Before independent use, the camera requires activation, which can be done via the mobile app, Internet Explorer (IE), SADP tool, PC software, or NVR.

Usage Features:

  1. Mobile App Integration: The core of the remote viewing functionality relies on the "Annke Vision" mobile application, available on both App Store and Google Play.
  2. Account Registration: Users must register an account within the app using their mobile phone number or email address. It's crucial to select the correct country/region during registration, as this setting cannot be changed later.
  3. Device Activation: For independent use, the camera must first be activated. This involves setting a strong password (8 to 16 characters, including at least two types of characters: numerics, upper case letters, lower case letters, or special characters).
  4. Network Connection: The camera requires a stable network connection. It should be powered on using a DC12V power supply and connected to a router via an Ethernet cable that has internet access.
  5. Device Addition: Once connected and activated, the camera can be added to the user's account in the "Annke Vision" app. This is typically done by scanning a QR code found on the camera's label or packaging.
  6. Live Preview: After successful addition, the camera appears in the device list, allowing users to access a live video preview.
  7. Image Resolution Adjustment: Users can adjust the preview image resolution, for example, to HD, directly from the app.
  8. Snapshot and Recording: The app enables users to take snapshots and record video directly to their phone.
  9. Device Settings: The app provides access to various camera settings, including:
    • Device Name Modification: Users can customize the name of their camera for easier identification.
    • Time Zone Adjustment: The time zone can be set to ensure accurate timestamps on recordings.
    • Alarm Notification Management: Notifications for detected events can be enabled or disabled.
    • Image and Video Encryption: This feature can be toggled on or off, enhancing security.
    • Verification Code Change: The verification code for encrypted video can be updated.
    • DDNS Configuration: Dynamic Domain Name System (DDNS) can be configured, allowing access via an IP address and supporting remote configuration.
  10. TF Card Storage (if supported): If the camera supports TF card storage, users will be prompted to initialize (format) the new TF card within the app before recording can begin. This is a critical step for enabling on-device recording.
  11. Annke Vision Service: Users must enable the Annke Vision service, which automatically encrypts device video. This requires agreeing to the terms of service and setting a verification code for encryption.
