Floppy Diskettes
The most
widely
used
type
of
disk storage
with
microcomputers
is
floppy
disk storage. The Disk II
Drive
(used
with
the
lie)
is
a
floppy
disk
drive.
A
floppy
diskette
consists
of
a
round
vinyl
disk
which
is
enclosed
within
a plastic cover. The
diskette
is
generally
stored in a diskette
envelope
.
This cover protects
the
diskette
from
damage
while
it
is
being
handled
by
the
operator
. The
diskette
should
never be
removed
from
its cover. A

rotate
