To Delete an Email:
While looking at your messages, swipe your finger across the
message preview. A Delete button will appear. Tap this to remove
the message
To Delete Multiple Emails:
Tap the Edit button on the Inbox sidebar and tap the clear circles
next to each email to make your selection
Tap Delete at the bottom of your screen to remove them from
your inbox.
To Delete an Email if you are using a Gmail Account
Tap and hold the icon until the Delete Message appears.
If you would always prefer to delete messages, go to Settings |
Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap your Gmail account name and turn off Archive Messages
