After your iPad is setup and synced, you probably want to add some of your own
personal touches. Customization and the main control panel of your iPad can be found
in General Settings.!

General Settings!

In the General Settings Tab in Settings, you can take control of your iPad. You can
change any Settings in your iPad from Restrictions to Sounds. General Settings
consists of many options. They are:!

About:!
The first thing on the page is About. In About you are provided with statistics about your
iPad. You can see how many songs, videos, apps, ETC. That you have on your device.!
As a Xaverian student you will never need to use the tabs at the bottom of the page.
( Legal, Regulatory, Diagnosis and Usage) !

Software Update:!
The second thing in the General Settings tab is Software Update. This will tell you the
newest software there is for your iPad and whether or not you are up to date.!

Usage:!
The next thing you will see in the General tab is usage. This will tell you the amount of
space that your apps, music, and photos and videos are taking up on your iPad.!

Sounds:!
The next thing in the General settings tab is sounds. In the sounds tab you can change
the sounds on your iPad. To make the alerts on your iPad louder all you have to do is
drag the circle on ringer and alerts to the right. If you would like the ringer and alerts
volume to be a same volume as your overall volume turn Change with Buttons on.
Below you all you can change on the sounds in your iPad such as mail and calendar
alerts. All you have to do is click on the tab and select the desired sound. Next is lock
sounds if you would like the lock button to lock the sounds turn it on if you like to use
lock button for something else turn it off. The next thing is keyboard clicks if you like the
keyboard to make sound when you're typing turn this feature on if you do not want the
keyboard to make noise, turn this feature off. In school teachers would like you to have
this feature turned off.!
