About This Guide
This guide provides instructions for setting up, configuring,
and administering iChat service on Mac OS X Server.
Instant messaging involves live interactions between computer users exchanging text,
pictures, audio, and video. Instant messaging is also known as
chatting,
because of its
spontaneous, conversation-like qualities. iChat is the Apple instant messaging service
that promotes real-time communication and information-sharing between diverse user
groups.
Mac OS X Server version 10.5 includes iChat service administration in its suite of
