Installation and operation of pond sludge cleaner
Remove all accessories from the packaging and from the tank container and check that the switch is
in "OFF" position before use.
Fasten the support feet on the bottom of the tank container by pressing them firmly. The openings in
the feet can be used to store the various accessories.
Cleaning the pond:
For safety reasons, the ECO-Vac pond sludge cleaner has to be placed at least 2 m from the
edge of the pond!
Insert the discharge hose into the outlet opening in the bottom of the tank container. Place the
discharge hose so, that the sludge water easily can flow into a drain or a suitable place in the
garden where plants and flowers can benefit from the nutrients, such as the sludge from the
pond is an excellent fertilizer. If the water has to be led back to the pond, the sludge bag has to
be attached to the end of the discharge hose, thereby larger dirt particles get collected. Depend-
ing on the degree of pollution, the sludge bag has to be emptied and cleaned regularly while
cleaning the pond.
Loosen the tank container lock and remove the motor casing. Pull the foam filter bag over the
motor inlet and tighten the string. Put the motor casing back into the tank container and ensure
that the locking mounts are placed correctly in the slots. Be aware that the power cable is located
on the opposite side of the intake and not pinched.
Insert the suction hose into the plug-in slot on top of tank container and fasten it by turning half
turn right.
Attach the required number of extension tubes to the suction hose and one of the supplied noz-
zles to the extension tubes.
Now the pond sludge cleaner can be connected to the power supply and the cleaning can begin.
The motor is started by pressing the switch (17) into position = which is the setting for automatic
emptying when the tank container is full.
When the tank container is full the motor turns off and the tank container gets emptied automati-
cally in approx. 30 seconds. Meanwhile, the suction hose can be moved to another part of the
pond, which has to be cleaned.
When the work is done, the pond sludge cleaner has to be switched into OFF position (centre
position). Always remove the plug from the power supply when the unit is out of use.
It is always a good idea to empty the tank container and clean it thoroughly after use.
Application without discharge hose:
Insert the sealing plug (15) into the outlet opening of the tank container (14), to produce a pow-
erful vacuum in the container.
Water absorption: Loosen the container lock and remove the motor casing. Pull the foam filter
bag over the motor inlet and tighten the string. Put the motor casing back into the tank container
and ensure that the locking mounts are placed correctly in the slots. Be aware that the power
cable is located on the opposite side of the intake and not pinched.
Now the wet cleaner can be connected to the power supply and the absorption can begin. The
motor is started by pressing the switch (17) into position - which is the setting for manual clean-
ing. In this position the unit operates like a conventional vacuum cleaner i.e. without automatic
discharge.
The vacuum cleaner is turned off by pressing the switch in the OFF position (centre position).
