What to do if my AQUARIUS 70 does not build up pressure?
    • M
      Michael TravisJul 27, 2025
If your AQUARIUS Welding System isn't building pressure, several issues could be the cause. First, check for gas leaks at the generator tank screw cap, the gas tube screw connection, and the torch adjusting valve, and tighten them if necessary. If leaks aren't the issue, the pressure switch might be defective, triggering the safety pressure limiter; in this case, replace the pressure switch and push down both pushbuttons on the safety pressure limiter. Other potential causes include a burned-through dropping resistor (replace it), defective rectifier diodes on the diode plate (replace the diode plate), or the thermostat switch has triggered because the generator is too hot (check that the cooling fan is working; gas production restarts automatically when the generator cools below 45°C).

How to fix a red or pale flame that's not hot enough on my AQUARIUS 70?

If the flame on your AQUARIUS Welding System is red or pale and not hot enough, the fill level in the booster tank may be too low; refill the booster with flux fluid. Another cause could be that the flux fluid is contaminated or old; in this case, empty and clean the booster tank and then refill it.

Why is the flame on my AQUARIUS Welding System normal color but not hot enough?
    • T
      Theresa BowenNov 5, 2025
If the flame on your AQUARIUS Welding System is bright green but lacks sufficient heat, it could be due to several reasons. The fill level in the generator tank might be too low, requiring you to refill it with distilled water. Alternatively, the electrolyte might be contaminated or spent, necessitating its renewal. Another possibility is a blockage in the gas line, either inside the unit or in the flashback arresters of the torch or the gas tube screw coupling. The flashback arresters can be cleaned with highly diluted sulfuric acid (density of 1.02). Fill roughly 4 to 5 cm of the diluted sulfuric acid into a glass. With the plunger pushed in, connect the syringe to either the torch or the screw coupling, and dip the torch or coupling into the acid. Now pull the plunger out to draw acid u...
