Do you have a question about the AR Blue Clean BCXP22300P and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The device is an AR Blue Clean electric pressure washer, model BCXP22300P, designed for various cleaning projects. It operates at 2300 PSI (maximum) and 1800 PSI (rated), with a maximum flow rate of 1.7 GPM and a rated flow rate of 1.1 GPM. The unit is powered by a 120 Volt, 60 Hz, 13 Amp electrical supply and weighs 55.3 lbs.

Function Description:

The AR Blue Clean electric pressure washer is designed to clean surfaces using a high-pressure stream of water, which can be combined with detergents for enhanced cleaning. It is suitable for consumer applications and is not intended for rental or commercial use. The pressure washer features an auto-start/stop system that activates the motor when the spray gun trigger is squeezed and deactivates it when the trigger is released, helping to conserve energy and extend pump life.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: BCXP22300P
  • Max PSI: 2300 lbs/sq. in.
  • Rated PSI: 1800 lbs/sq. in.
  • Max GPM: 1.7 Gal/per min
  • Rated GPM: 1.1 Gal/per min
  • Cold Water: Yes
  • Volts: 120
  • Frequency: 60 Hz
  • Amps: 13
  • Weight: 55.3 lbs
  • Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI): Built into the plug for electric shock protection (US unit only).
  • Hose: High Pressure Hose (N)
  • Nozzles: Quick Connect Nozzles (E) including 15° (Yellow) and 25° (Green), and a Rotary Nozzle (C).
  • Detergent System: Integrated foam cannon (O) for applying detergents at low pressure.

Usage Features:

  • Assembly: The pressure washer requires minimal assembly, estimated at 5 minutes, using a Phillips screwdriver. Key assembly steps include installing wheels, the handle, rotary nozzle holder, hose hook, spray gun holster, and connecting the high-pressure hose and foam cannon.
  • Spray Gun (K) and Extension Lance (I): The spray gun features a trigger safety lock (L) to prevent accidental engagement. The extension lance connects to the spray gun, and various nozzles or the foam cannon can be attached to the lance.
  • Nozzle Selection: The unit includes quick-connect nozzles (15° Yellow and 25° Green) and a rotary nozzle. The 25° nozzle is recommended for cleaning windows. The force of the spray can be varied by changing the nozzle angle and distance from the surface.
  • Detergent Application: The foam cannon (O) allows for the application of detergents specifically formulated for power washers. The detergent concentration can be adjusted using a knob on the foam cannon. It's crucial to apply detergent to a dry surface and rinse from bottom up to avoid streaks.
  • Water Supply: The unit requires a cold water supply with a maximum pressure of 150 PSI. The garden hose adapter should be flushed before connecting to the pressure washer.
  • Power On/Off: The power switch has "OFF/0" and "ON/I" positions. The auto-start feature primes the pump for 1-2 seconds and then shuts off, waiting for the trigger to be pressed. Slow, deliberate trigger pulls are recommended to avoid missing on/off cycles.
  • Safety Lock: Always engage the trigger safety lock when the spray gun is not in use, even for brief pauses.
  • GFCI Protection: The built-in GFCI (for US units) should be tested before each use to ensure proper functionality, indicated by a green light.
  • Kickback: When first using the spray gun, hold it with two hands to manage the "kickback" from the spray.
  • Pressure Release: After turning off the power switch, residual water pressure may remain in the system. Point the spray gun in a safe direction and pull the trigger to discharge the pressure.

Maintenance Features:

  • Nozzle Cleaning: A clogged or partially clogged nozzle can reduce water pressure or cause pulsation. The unit includes a nozzle cleaning wire (H) to clear debris. A straightened paper clip can also be used. Back-flushing water through the nozzles can also help.
  • Garden Hose Adapter Screen: The screen inside the garden hose adapter should be periodically cleaned by removing it, rinsing with clean water, and replacing it.
  • O-Rings: The o-rings on the bayonet end of the nozzle should be cleaned and lubricated regularly with non-water soluble grease (e.g., petroleum jelly) to prevent leaks. An O-Ring Replacement Kit (D) is included.
  • Storage:
    • Winterization/Freezing Protection: To prevent damage from freezing, the power washer should be stored indoors. If outdoor storage is necessary, a pump saver (not included, AR Blue Clean part # PW64511) is recommended to protect the pump's internal components from freezing and corrosion.
    • Detergent System: Discard any remaining detergent from the foam cannon and flush it with clear water to prevent clogging and contamination.
    • Hose and Accessories: Store the high-pressure hose on the hose hook (A), the extension lance in the nozzle tray, the spray gun in its holster (M), quick-connect nozzles in the nozzle holder, the rotary nozzle on its holder (G), and the foam cannon on the back of the unit.
    • Power Cord: Wind the power cord around the cord hooks.
  • Pump Saver: This product lubricates and protects the pump's internal parts from freezing and corrosion. To use, attach the pump saver bottle to the garden hose adapter, turn on the power, squeeze the bottle to introduce the solution, and turn off the power once the solution exits the water outlet.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the unit not turning on, hose connection problems, no water flow, water leaks, and difficulty removing the lance. Customer service is available for assistance.
  • Warranty: The product comes with a 2-year warranty. The first year covers all defects (bumper-to-bumper), while the second year covers manufacturer defects only. The warranty is valid for consumer applications and requires adherence to operation and maintenance instructions.
