Checking and adjusting drive
belts
1. Visually inspect for cracks, fraying, wear
or oiliness.
The belts should not touch the bottom
of the pulley groove.
2. Check belt tension by pushing midway
between pulleys.
Drive belt deflection:
8 to 12 mm (0.31 to 0.47 in)
Pushing force:
98 N (10 kg. 22 lb)
