Adjusting intake and exhaust
valve clearance
Adjustment should be made while
engine is warm but not running.
1. Start engine and warm it up, sufficiently.
Then turn off engine.
2. Remove valve rocker cover.
3. Rotate crankshaft.
(1) Set No. 1 cylinder in top dead center on
its compression stroke, and adjust valve
clearance.

(2) Set No. 4 cylinder in op dead cen-
ter on its compression stroke and
adjust valve clearance.

0.35 mm (0.015 in)
