• Remove the two plastic rivets.
• Remove the storage box cover
and push the loosen panel for-
wards.
• Take out the storage box.
• Open the four clamps and take off
the air lter cover.
• Remove the air lter and the foam
element.
• Separate the foam element from
the lter and clean both parts with
soapy water.
• Air-dry the element.
• Put the foam element in a plas-
tic bag and pour in some air lter
cleaning solvent; then work the
solvent into the element.
• Slightly squeeze the element to
remove excess solvent.
• When the element is dry, put it into
the lter.
!! CAUTION !!
Never put oil into the lter or the
foam element.
• Place the foam around the air l-
ter and install the lter into the air
lter housing.
• Make sure that the air lter is
properly seated and secure with
the retainer.
• Install the cover and secure with
the clamps. Install the storage
box.
Air Filter Housing Drain Tube
Periodically check the drain tube for
gasoline, oil or dirt accumulation.
Draining V-Belt Cover (Automatc
transmission)
q NOTE
If the ATV has been driven through
water, the V-belt cover must be
drained of any water.
To drain the belt cover, us the fol-
lowing procedure:
1. Place the ATV on a level sur-
face.
2. Remove the drain bolt from the
cover and allow the water to drain
out.
3. Shift the range lever to the neu-
tral position; then start the engine.
4. Accelerate several times to „blow
out“ any water. Then stop the en-
gine.
5. Install the drain bolt and tighten
securely.
