Shock Absorbers
Each shock absorber should be visibly
checked weekly for excessive fluid leak-
age (some seal leakage may be observed
but it does not indicate the shock is in
need of replacement), cracks or breaks in
the lower case, or a bent shock rod. If any
one of these conditions is detected,
replacement is necessary.

NOTE: When the vehicle is oper-
ated in extremely cold weather (-23°
C/-10° F or colder), a small amount of
leakage may be present. Unless the
leakage is excessive, replacement is
not necessary.
The shock absorbers on this vehicle have
adjustable damping and spring pre-load
to accommodate many driving conditions
and styles.
To adjust damping, rotate the knob on the
shock reservoir in the desired direction
(hard or soft).

To adjust preload (stiffness), loosen the
set screw and adjust the spring preload
nuts clockwise to increase or counter-
clockwise to decrease. Tighten the set
screw securely.

NOTE: There are 60 total clicks of
adjustment (30 up and 30 down)
from the factory setting.
CAUTION
The shocks are factory filled with high
pressure gas. Do not remove the valve
caps or gas leakage may occur damag-
ing the shock.
