Special items like curtains, duvets, trainers, and wool items require specific handling and detergent types.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of the washing machine.

  • Cutting off water or electricity supply: Turn off the water tap after every wash and unplug the appliance when cleaning it or during maintenance.
  • Cleaning your appliance: Clean the exterior and rubber parts with a soft cloth soaked in lukewarm soapy water. Avoid solvents or abrasives.
  • Cleaning the detergent dispenser: Remove the dispenser and rinse it under running water. This operation should be repeated frequently.
  • Caring for your appliance door and drum: Leave the appliance door ajar to prevent unpleasant odours.
  • Checking the water inlet hose: Inspect the water inlet hose at least once a year for cracks. Replace it if damaged to prevent leaks.
  • Cleaning the pump: The washing machine is fitted with a self-cleaning pump that does not require maintenance. However, small items might fall into the pre-chamber that protects the pump. To access the pre-chamber, remove the panel, unscrew the lid, and clean any foreign objects.
  • Connecting the drain hose: Ensure the drain hose is correctly connected to a drain pipe or sink, at a height between 65 and 100 cm from the floor.
  • Connecting the water inlet hose: Connect the water inlet hose to the cold water tap, ensuring a tight seal.

Troubleshooting:

The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues such as:

  • Washing machine won't start: Check if the appliance is plugged in, power failure, or if the door is not shut properly.
  • Wash cycle won't start: Check if the START/RESET button has been pressed or if the delay timer is active.
  • Washing machine fails to load water (H2O displayed): Check water inlet hose connection, water tap, water pressure, and if the START/RESET button has been pressed.
  • Washing machine continuously loads and unloads water: Check drain hose position and if the drain pipe is blocked.
  • Washing machine does not drain or spin: Check program selection, easy iron option, drain hose, and pump.
  • Washing machine vibrates too much during the spin cycle: Check if the drum was not unblocked correctly during installation, if the machine is not level, or if the machine is closed in between furniture cabinets and the wall.
  • Washing machine leaks: Check water inlet hose, detergent dispenser, and drain hose.
  • Too much foam: Check detergent type and quantity.

In case of persistent problems or errors (e.g., F-01 error code), the manual advises contacting the Service Centre, providing details such as the type of problem, appliance model, and serial number.
