MAINTENANCE
We recommend you make the following checks on the water
heater at least once a year:
1 Check for water leaks.
2 Check for gas leaks and replace gaskets as necessary.
3 Inspect the overall condition of the water heater and the combustion.
4 Inspect the combustion chamber and clean the burner if necessary.
5 Following checks 3 and 4, remove and clean the nozzle if necessary.
6 Adjust for correct gas fl owrate.
7 Check operation of the water safety devices (temperature and pressure limits).
8 Check for correct operation of gas safety systems (gas or fl ame failure, gas valve
etc)
9 Check that the room is correctly ventilated.
10 Check that the combustion products (fl ue gas) are exhausted correctly
