Dear Customer,
Please be aware that following the safety side panels replacement on your Citadel Plus bed(s), description for
sections Bed width adjustment (page 26) and Deck height (page 33) mentioned in Instructions for Use has
changed. For these two sections only, follow the instructions described in this QRG and not the Citadel Plus IFU.
Bed width adjustment
To extend the width of the frame:
1. Locate the eight width extension latches located behind the extension symbol (four per side).

For right patient side: to extend R1 section, it is important to extend R2 rst. Otherwise the extension will
be impossible.
For left patient side: to extend L1 section, it is important to extend L2 rst. Otherwise the extension will be
impossible.
2. Squeeze extension latch to unlock and pull section until fully extended.
To avoid collision, there is a mechanism that blocks operator of extending the body extension (R1, L1)
before extending the backrest extension (R2, L2). The same mechanism prevents from retracting the
backrest extension (R2, L2) before retracting the body extension (R1, L1).
