CANVARO STS INSTRUCTION SHEET
The Canvaro stand-up/sit-down desk may only be used and
operated when in perfect working order and in compliance
with the Instruction sheet. The user undertakes to comply with
the safety regulations and warnings in the Instruction sheet at
all times. In addition to the Instruction sheet, general and local
regulations on accident prevention and environmental protection
are to be complied with. Nonconforming use of the product (i.e.
for purposes other than as ofce furniture) can cause danger to
life and limb, as well as property damage. Nonconforming use is
therefore prohibited, and the company ASSMANN BÜROMÖBEL
GmbH & CO. KG cannot accept any liability for any injury, damage
or
losses occurring in such cases. The warranty for correct, trouble-
free operation of the system components is also rendered void in
such cases.
The following uses are likewise prohibited:
Lifting loads, use as a climbing aid or lifting platform, use as a
permanent storage area for weights of more than 100 kg, outdoor
use, use in damp rooms.
Note that the desk may only be connected to power supplies with
the voltage specied in the technical data and or the manufacturer‘s
label.
To prevent malfunctions, repairs may only be carried out by
authorized repair shops or by our suppliers‘ service personnel.

Duty period max. 6 minutes per hour or 2 minutes continuous
operation under full load. Exceeding the maximum period of
2 minutes in continuous operation activates an automatic system
protection mechanism that protects the desk for approx. 3 minutes
against any further movement. Once this period has elapsed, the
desk is automatically re-activated. However, the full duty period
of max. 2 minutes of continuous operation is only available after a
rest period of 18 minutes.
Ensure that none of the cables have been damaged during trans-
port. Defective parts must be replaced immediately with equiva-
lent new parts.
WARNING:
Canvaro sit/stand products are not resistant to oils used for
cutting.
WARNING:
Risk of major malfunctions and serious injury when opening
Canvaro sit/stand products. It is prohibited to open the motor
casings, the control box and the hand switch.
WARNING:
Liquids must not be allowed to leak into the plug connections.
Risk of short circuit.
WARNING:
A minimum distance of 25 mm must be ensured from adjacent
objects. Beware of crushing injuries.
WARNING:
This device can be used by persons with reduced physical, sen-
sory, or mental abilities, or insufcient experience and knowledge,
provided they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the
device, and understand the corresponding resulting hazards.
Do not allow children to play with the device. Cleaning and user
maintenance by children is only permitted under supervision.
WARNING:
If the enclosed power cable (with plug and socket) is damaged,
it must be replaced by an equivalent new cable (same voltage
and current rating). The device is only to be used with the power
supply unit provided.
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK:
Always disconnect the desk from the mains supply before star-
ting any maintenance or cleaning.
