Trouble & Possible Cause Symptom & Remedy
B. Slow pull down or no pull down.
1. Compressor and condenser fan run
continuously. Compressor amperage
normal.
2d. Defective compressor current relay,
compressor thermal overload (internal) or
compressor.
REMEDY: Replace as necessary.
2e. Defective compressor.
REMEDY: Replace compressor.
1a. Evaporator coil iced up.
REMEDY: Defrost and dry out chamber.
Plug up port or any openings where room air
can enter the chamber.
1b. Excessive live load in chamber or
excessive heat leakage into chamber
through ports or other openings.
REMEDY: Eliminate cause.
1c. Excessive opening of door.
REMEDY: Eliminate cause.
1d. Loss of refrigerant charge.
REMEDY: Determine and repair leak, and
recharge system.
1e. Clogged or defective expansion valve.
REMEDY: Repair or replace expansion
valve.
1f. Defective compressor.
REMEDY: Replace compressor.
1g. Test piece of specimen blocking air flow
in chamber.
REMEDY: Correct by relocating specimen.
