Trouble & Possible Cause Symptom & Remedy
2. Compressor cycles on and off on
compressor overload.
3. Compressor cycles on and off on low
pressure cutout.
2a. Compressor dirty or air flow restricted.
REMEDY: Clean condenser or move unit to
provide free air flow across condenser and
out side of chamber.
2b. High room ambient.
REMEDY: Locate chamber in well ventilated
area where temperature is normal.
2c. Condenser fan not operating properly.
REMEDY: Tighten fan blade, replace motor
or repair as necessary.
2d. Temperature controller set point out of
adjustment.
REMEDY: Adjust in accordance with
instruction manual.
2e. Condenser fan not running or not
operating at rated rpm.
REMEDY: Repair or replace condenser fan
motor.
2f. Damaged or restricted refrigerant line.
REMEDY: Locate and replace.
2g. Low voltage or worn relay contacts.
REMEDY: Correct low volume condition or
replace relay.
3a. Chamber temperature too low to permit
running mechanical refrigeration.
REMEDY: Increase temperature inside of
your room by +10ºF.
3b. Low temperature cutout control defective
or out of adjustment.
REMEDY: Replace or repair as necessary
