4.5 Power Mode Control for BOXER-8420AI
The NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier supports multiple power modes to give users a range of
performance options to best suit their application’s needs. To change power mode,
look up the Mode ID of the corresponding power mode according to the chart below.
Default Mode ID is 7 (15W with max CPU freq. 2188 MHz).

Open terminal and enter the following command:
$ sudo nvpmodel -m ID
ID refers to the Mode ID number. For power mode 0 (max power mode), you would
enter:
$ sudo nvpmodel -m 0
The system will require a reboot for the changes to take effect. To check the current
power mode, enter the following command in terminal:
$ sudo nvpmodel -q
