How to clean dishes properly in my Atag Dishwasher?
    • D
      David ThomasAug 18, 2025
If your dishes aren't coming out clean, several factors could be at play. Start by checking if the spray arms are rotating freely; remove and clean them if necessary. Ensure dishes aren't blocking the spray arms. Consider that old detergent loses effectiveness, so avoid buying large packages. Also, make sure you're using the correct detergent dosage for your water hardness—too much or too little can impact results. Select a more powerful wash cycle. Proper loading is crucial: don't cover dishes with large bowls or place tall glasses in corners. Secure dishes, so they don't topple over during the cycle, and ensure the filter is correctly fitted.

What to do if my Atag VA6711NT Dishwasher does not start?
    • N
      natalie95Aug 20, 2025
If your dishwasher isn't starting, begin by ensuring the main power switch is on by pressing and holding it until the display lights up. Verify that the door is fully closed. Check your fuse or circuit breaker. Make sure the dishwasher is properly plugged into the wall socket and that the water tap is turned on. Also, check for any signs of overflow or leaks. If you hear a continuous whirring sound (the drainage pump) that doesn't stop when turning off the main power, turn off the water tap, pull out the plug, and contact the service division. If the delayed start option is active, press and hold the Start/Stop button for three seconds to cancel it.

Why are there spots or films on my Atag VA6711NT's dishes?
    • K
      kimberly98Aug 23, 2025
Spots or films on dishes can occur due to several reasons. Check that the salt compartment lid is tightly closed, as a leak could be the cause. Ensure that the salt compartment is filled with salt. If you're washing crystal, high temperatures or excessive detergent can cause etching, which is irreversible; wash crystal at lower temperatures with less detergent. If the water softener is leaking salt, check that the salt compartment lid is properly tightened. Otherwise call the service division.

How to improve drying in my Atag VA6711NT Dishwasher?
    • A
      Austin MyersAug 26, 2025
To improve drying, first, activate the Long dry option. Ensure the dishwasher is fully loaded, as a full load optimizes drying. Check and replenish the rinse aid, or increase its dosage. Once the program finishes, slightly open the door to help release moisture.

What to do if water remains in my Atag VA6711NT after the cycle?
    • A
      Anita MorenoAug 27, 2025
If water remains in the dishwasher, start by checking the drainage hose for blockages; loosen it at the sink unit's water trap to clear any debris, ensuring the pipe's inner diameter is at least 14 mm. Inspect the hose for kinks or sharp bends. Clean the coarse and fine filters. Also, clear any debris from the drainage pump.

    • C
      Carolyn RobinsonAug 30, 2025

Why are there spots on stainless steel or silver in my Atag Dishwasher?
    • C
      Cody HillSep 2, 2025
Spots on stainless steel can be caused by foodstuffs like mustard, mayonnaise, lemon, vinegar, salt, and dressings if they sit too long; rinse these off before starting the dishwasher or use the Rinse & Hold program. Also, prevent silver and stainless steel items from touching during dishwashing, as contact can cause spots. Aluminium can also cause spots on dishes.

Why does my Atag VA6711NT Dishwasher leave a sticky white/blue film on the dishes?
    • M
      Mary LeeSep 4, 2025
A sticky white or blue film on dishes often indicates that the rinse aid dosage is too high. Reduce the amount. If you have very soft water, consider diluting the rinse aid 50:50 with water.

Why is my Atag Dishwasher making a rattling sound?
    • R
      Robin TranSep 7, 2025
A rattling sound during dishwashing usually means the dishes aren't placed correctly or the spray arms can't rotate. Ensure dishes are placed securely and spin the spray arms to confirm they can rotate freely.
