SHARPENING WOOD AUGERS
PROBLEM CAUSE ACTION

SHARPENING ATOM AUGERS WITH
ROUNDED EDGES
Use a small half round file or 3/16 Round file. Carefully file
inside the shaped curve of the cutting edges.
If correctly sharpened, the cutting edges will be as sharp
as saw chain teeth. Once they become dull they should
be resharpened as described.
Never file the outer edges of the auger.
