Keep the extension cord clear of operator and obstacles
at all times.
Do not expose the cords to heat, oil, water, or sharp edges.
Do not edge next to cord, or walk on or drive over cord.
Do not store unit outside but only indoors in secure dry place.
CLEANING EDGER OR TILLER UNITS
AFTER USE
When cleaning, disconnect electrical cable and
do not use water hose. Scrape dirt away. If motor
accidentally wet by water, allow to dry in the
sun, inspect and ensure it is dry before use.
DO NOT USE hose water to clean machine
as it could force water into casing and motor.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY EDGERS & TILLERS
1. Only to be used on 240 volt power supply.
2.
Use an approved Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (Residual
Current
Device) safety switch with tripping current of not more than 30mA
at the powerpoint or switchboard.
3. Avoid dangerous situations. Do not use in the presence of flammable
liquids or gasses to avoid creating a fire or explosion.
4. Do not attempt to use unit if there is any damage. Do not use
until damage is repaired by an authorised service centre.
5. Before doing any maintenance or repair work, or cleaning the unit or
blades, adjusting wheel depth, disconnect extension cord.
6. Do not use in rain, in damp or wet locations, or around swimming
pools, hot tubs etc. Do not expose to water, rain, or snow to avoid the
possibility of electrical shock.
7. Damaged supply cord or internal switch (on motor). These must be
replaced by an authorised service agent or similarity qualified person
in order to avoid a hazzard.
8. Never carry the unit by the extension cord or yank the extension
cord to disconnect the unit. If cut during use, immediately disconnect
from mains power. DO NOT TOUCH THE CORD BEFORE
DISCONNECTING SUPPLY.
9. Unplug machine whenever leaving machine unattended or if machine
vibrates abnormally.
Edger or tine blade can cut extension cord.
Keep hands, feet and extension cord away from
the cutting blade (Fig 6). A cut extension cord is dangerous and can be
fatal to you or others. Inspect extension cord and do not use if damaged.

Use extension cords specifically marked as suitable for
outdoor appliances. These have minimum 1mm diameter
copper wire. In Australia/NZ, these are now yellow in colour. Do not use
white coloured or light gauge undersized extension cords. If in doubt, use
the next heavier guage.

1. Undo 2 screws #1. See Fig. 8) Fit AV handle supports #2 & #3 by pushing
fully into each side of the body #4. A soft hammer may be required. (Fig.8).
2. Re-fit screws #1 through #2 and into #3 and screw tightly. (Fig.8).
3. See page 4 Fig.10 instructions 1 & 2 for easy assembly of
handles to cross brace.
4. As in Fig.7 on this page 3 and with 100mm (4”) spacer block under engine,
slide assembled cross brace handle tubes #5 & #6 through AV rubbers
#7 & #8 into position.
5. Tighten handle knob #11 but DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN as
AV becomes less effective.
6. To fit RH & LH handle grips, follow page 4
instructions 3, 4, 5 and 6.
7. Fit wheel arm as in page 4, Fig 19
instruction 8b.
8. As on this page 3, when assembled, unit will
look like Fig. 9.
9. Adjust edger height with wheel arm
handle adjuster #21. Fig.9. Try hole
3 or 4 for first edging attempt.
