Switching turn assist o and on
When Audipresense is o, turn assist is also o. In addi-
tion, turn assist can be switched o separately in the MMI
menu. If turn assist is switched o separately, it stays o
until the function is reactivated in the MMI. Switching the
ignition o and on does not activate turn assist if it has
been switched o separately.
Function
Turn assist is explained using a left turn-o situation in
right-hand trac. Right Adaptive Cruise Control Sensor
G259, Control Module for Adaptive Cruise Control J428 and
Laser Distance Regulation Control Module J1122 continu-
ously monitor the trac in front of one's own vehicle. The
front camera and the laser scanner send the data they have
acquired to J428.
The ACC control module merges the data and instructs
other systems to initiate actions appropriate to the situa-
tion. The merging of data from various sources provides a
very exact map of the vehicle periphery.

Audi pre sense turn assist can help the driver with turning
maneuvers.
In models equipped with Audipresenseturn assist, the
following actions can be taken:
› Reconfiguration of hydraulic brake assist.
› Automatic emergency braking.
› Display of corrective action by Audi pre sense in the
instrument cluster (visual and audible).
Installation location
To implement Audipresenseturn assist, the vehicle
requires:
› Right Adaptive Cruise Control Sensor G259 and Control
Module for Adaptive Cruise Control J428.
› Driver Assistance Systems Front Camera R242.
› Laser Distance Regulation Control Module J1122.
