The not es during installing:
1. Before unpack the box, check the packing cases whether it is damage d during the
transportation in order not to cause the machine damage d .
2. After unpack the box , c heck whether parts are complete according to the packing
list (see appendix one) .
3. The installation place s hould be in an enough operating space, which is clean, no
dust, no steam and corrosion gas pollution, no inflammable and explosive substances .
Don t put the machine in the air vents, o therwise it will affect the roller surface
temperature to cause laminating quality not stable.
4. T he machine s truckle can only be in flat surface to do shortly move.
5. Th e voltage of this machine is 220-240 V (or 110 V need to order). Before connect
the electric power , should check the power source and capacity is enough. Need to fix
the breaker in 220-240 V / 20 A , and have sound grounding device , in case cause
personal injury.
6. Front working-table can be turned over, which is a not - stress mechanical structure,
when you move the machine, pls turn the working-table over, don t p ut heavy things
on it to avoid to not damage it and the screw s .
7. When use fork lift to move the machine , need to put the forklift arm under the
under-beam, but both sides must have person to help protect it , to prevent the machine
from dumping front and back.

Overview

This document describes the ADL-1600C1 Auto Cold Laminator, providing technical specifications, installation instructions, operational guidelines, and maintenance advice.

Function Description

The ADL-1600C1 is an auto cold laminator designed for applying a protective film to various materials. While primarily a cold laminator, it features a heated upper roller that can reach temperatures up to 60°C, which can improve the quality of cold lamination, especially when using cold film. The machine is capable of continuous lamination and offers precise control over speed and roller pressure to ensure optimal results. It is equipped with an emergency stop button for safety and a control panel for adjusting various settings.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Laminating Width: 1520 mm (60 inches)
  • Laminating Speed: 0–6 m/min
  • Diameter of Roller: 130mm
  • Lifting Height of Roller: 25mm
  • Heating Temperature of Roller: When cold laminating, the upper roller temperature can be set between 50-60°C, with a maximum of 60°C.
  • Voltage: AC220-240V 50 Hz (110 V optional)
  • Power: 1400 W (single roller heating)
  • Rated Current: 10A (single roller heating)
  • Motor Power: 90 W
  • Packing Size: 2150 x 740 x 740 mm
  • Packing Weight: 180 kg

Usage Features

The laminator offers several features designed for ease of use and precise control:

  • Control Panel: Includes indicator lights for hot/cold lamination and ready status, a digital display for roller temperature, temperature adjustment buttons, hot/cold switch, forward/backward switch, continuous/inching switch, and a speed controller knob.
  • Preset Temperature: Users can set the desired temperature for the upper roller. For cold lamination, the preset temperature is typically 50°C, with a maximum of 60°C, adjustable based on the glue's viscosity.
  • Speed Control: A speed knob allows for clockwise increase and counter-clockwise decrease of speed. The appropriate speed should be selected to ensure optimal laminating effect.
  • Roller Up-and-Down Adjustment: A handwheel allows for precise adjustment of the distance between the rollers. Turning counter-clockwise raises the roller, and clockwise lowers it. The force between the rollers can be adjusted based on the material and laminating specifications.
  • Footswitch: Controls motor running. When in "Inching" mode, touching the footswitch starts the motor, and releasing it stops the motor.
  • Emergency Stop Switch: A red button that immediately cuts off power and stops the rubber roller. Turning it clockwise resets the power.
  • Heating Tube Installation: The manual provides detailed steps for installing the heating tube, emphasizing the importance of tightening hex nuts to prevent electrical sparks and damage.
  • Parallelism and Pressure Adjustment: Instructions are provided for adjusting the parallelism of the rollers and the pressure, which are crucial for laminating quality and preventing the picture from running crooked. These adjustments involve turning screws in the left case and using paper notes to check tension.
  • Lamination Process: The process involves preheating (if applicable), loading the film and material, adjusting roller pressure, and setting the speed. Key notes include ensuring the paper edges are vertical with the rubber roller for straight lamination and adjusting friction if the hot film is not tightening correctly.
  • Troubleshooting: A table outlines common problems such as the control panel having no electricity, the machine not turning, unclear laminated paper with white points, pleated bubbles, continuous running aslant, film folds, and curly laminated paper, along with their probable causes and suggested solutions.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance is crucial for prolonging the life and ensuring the quality of the laminator:

  • Power Disconnection: Always cut off power before examining, repairing, or after finishing lamination.
  • Clean Working Environment: The working place should be dry, ventilated, and free from dust, steam, corrosive gases, inflammable, and explosive substances.
  • Roller Cleaning: To prolong the life of the rubber roller, it must be kept clean. After lamination, use a swab and 80% alcohol to clean the rollers. This should be done when the machine is off, and the temperature is below 40°C. Avoid cleaning on a fixed point to prevent damage.
  • Glue and Attachments Removal: Regularly clean glue and other attachments from the rollers to maintain laminating quality.
  • Lubrication: Regularly inspect rotating parts for flexibility and apply lubricating oils to the gears.
  • Cable Inspection: Regularly check the power supply line and pedal switch line for damage to prevent leakage accidents.
  • Roller Protection: The upper and lower rubber rollers are critical components. Avoid scratching them. After lamination, raise the rollers to prevent them from deforming if pressed for extended periods. Keep rollers clean and free of dust.
  • Safety Precautions: The operator must be familiar with the machine's structure, function, and instructions, and adhere to safety warnings. Avoid touching the heated upper roller (above 50°C) to prevent burns. Do not place tools or other items on the working tables or machine parts. Do not clean the machine with water to prevent short circuits and rust. When the machine is heating, staff should be nearby to prevent fire or roller damage due to overheating.
