What to do if AutoAnchor Marine Equipment shows 'Sensor: No sensor pulses detected'?
    • M
      Maria McdanielSep 7, 2025
If the AutoAnchor Marine Equipment displays 'Sensor: No sensor pulses detected', it could be due to several reasons. First, use manual operation to verify that the windlass speed exceeds the minimum operating speed of 5 meters per minute. Next, confirm that the correct windlass setup and sensor have been selected. Then, inspect the magnet and sensor installation, checking for damage such as a rusted magnet. Ensure the gap between the magnet and sensor is correct for your setup. Finally, if using a rope/chain system, ensure the sensor installation is compatible with a rope/chain setup. The AA570 will still allow you to operate the windlass up and down in manual mode.

Why is auto mode disabled on my AutoAnchor Remote Control?
    • E
      Eric BoydAug 22, 2025
Auto mode is disabled on the AutoAnchor Remote Control when no sensor pulses are detected, the sensor installation isn't compatible with rope and chain settings, the load sensing wires aren't connected for rope/chain counting, a solenoid wire is disconnected, no rode to be released value has been entered, or total rode is set to OFF. When this message appears, the AA710 will operate the windlass in manual mode.

Why does my AutoAnchor Marine Equipment display 'Motor externally controlled'?
    • R
      Rebecca RobinsonSep 4, 2025
If your AutoAnchor Marine Equipment shows 'Motor externally controlled', it could be due to several reasons. Another control might be operating the windlass. It's also possible that the solenoid common ground is either not connected or is swapped with an up or down terminal. A large voltage potential difference between the AA710 Ground and Solenoid common ground could also be the cause. Check the control settings.

What to do if AutoAnchor Marine Equipment shows 'Power supply wired incorrectly'?
    • T
      Timothy PatrickSep 3, 2025
If your AutoAnchor Marine Equipment displays 'Power supply wired incorrectly', it means the wiring diagram wasn't followed, causing power to backfeed from a source outside the control circuit. Consult the wiring diagram to correct this. A common mistake is powering the AA710 and deck switches from different sources.

Why is my AutoAnchor Marine Equipment showing a 'Battery voltage too low' message?
    • M
      Maria GrahamSep 2, 2025
If the AutoAnchor Marine Equipment displays the message 'Battery voltage too low to operate windlass', it could be due to a few reasons. First, even if the battery seems fully charged, inspect the wiring for any poor connections. Second, ensure the cable meets the required specifications; an incorrectly sized cable can cause a voltage drop between the battery and the AutoAnchor. The voltage is displayed on the status bar.

How to resolve 'Sensor: Sensor tuning and tuning done' message on AutoAnchor 710-6?
    • K
      Katherine WilliamsAug 31, 2025
      1. The plug and play sensor detector is operating. Deploy the rode through the windlass until the message changes to “Tuning done” then dock the anchor. 2. If the “sensor tuning” message does not change to “tuning done” after 10 turns of the windlass, check the sensor installation is correct.
