7.3.2 Adjusting the blade height
The height of the splitting blade (1) can be
adjusted manually to match the log diameter.
It can
also be set to split the log into two
pieces instead of quarters. It may be easier
to split stiff wood or wood with many
branches by splitting it only into two halves,
so that the wood will not stick on the blade.
Adjust the height of the splitting blade
(1)
by locking the splitting blade (1) to a
suitable position with locking pin (2).
Hydraulic adjustment is available as option.
7.3.2.1 Hydraulic blade adjustment (Optional extra)
When hydraulic blade adjustment is fitted, the
function between the hydraulic
blade adjustment and
the splitting cylinder is selected with a separate
switch, or with the attachment control switch pack
(optional equipment for loaders), or with the
Opticontrol
®
system (optional equipment for loaders).
If the switch is in neutral posi
tion, or the electric
harness is not connected, operating the auxiliary
hydraulics of the loader controls the splitting cylinder.
In other position of the switch the auxiliary hydraulics
controls the height adjustment of the splitting blade.
Using the hydraulic blade adjustment with Opticontrol® system:
1. Switch the Opticontrol
®
mode switch on.
2.
Control the height of the splitting wedge with the
switch number 2.
