Thiscameraisdesignedtodeliveruptofourdifferentstreams.Ifafthuniquestreamisrequested,
thecamerawillnotbeabletoprovideit,andanerrormessageisdisplayed.Theerrormessage
dependsonthewaythestreamisrequested.Thestreamsareusedonarstcome,rstserved
basis.Examplesofinstancesusingastreamare:
•Liveviewinginawebbrowserorotherapplication
•Whilerecording-continuousormotiontriggeredrecording
•Aneventusingimagesonthecamera,forexampleaneventsendingane-mailwithan

regardlessofwhetheritisusedornot.
Thecameracandelivermorethanfoursimultaneousstreamsprovidedthecongurationofany

Performanceconsiderations
Whensettingupyoursystem,itisimportanttoconsiderhowvarioussettingsandsituationsaffecttheperformance.Somefactors
affecttheamountofbandwidth(thebitrate)required,otherscanaffecttheframerate,andsomeaffectboth.Iftheloadonthe
CPUreachesitsmaximum,thisalsoaffectstheframerate.
Thefollowingfactorsarethemostimportanttoconsider:
•Highimageresolutionorlowercompressionlevelsresultinimagescontainingmoredatawhichinturnaffectsthe
bandwidth.
•AccessbylargenumbersofMotionJPEGorunicastH.264clientsaffectsthebandwidth.
•Simultaneousviewingofdifferentstreams(resolution,compression)bydifferentclientsaffectsbothframerateand
bandwidth.
