Toimproveimagequalityforspecicsurveillancescenes,useexposuremodes.Exposuremodesletsyoucontrolaperture,shutter
speed,andgain.GotoVideo>Image>Exposureandselectbetweenthefollowingexposuremodes:
•Formostusecases,selectAutomaticexposure.
•Forfastmovingobjectsthatrequireafastorxedshutter,selectAutomaticaperture.
•Tomaintainalongerdepthofeldorfocusrange,selectAutomaticshutter.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiallighting,forexampleuorescentlighting,selectFlicker-free.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiallightandbrightlight,forexampleoutdoorswithuorescentlightingatnightand
sunduringdaytime,selectFlicker-reduced.
•Ifyouneedfullcontrolofallparameters,selectManual.Thisismostlyusefulforsceneswithlittlechangeinlighting.
Reducenoiseinlow-lightconditions
Toreducenoiseinlow-lightconditions,youcanadjustoneormoreofthefollowingsettings:
•Adjustthetrade-offbetweennoiseandmotionblur.GotoVideo>Image>ExposureandmovetheBlur-noisetrade-off
slidertowardLownoise.
•Settheexposuremodetoautomatic.
Note
Ahighmaxshuttervaluecanresultinmotionblur.
•Toslowdowntheshutterspeed,setmaxshuttertothehighestpossiblevalue.
Note
Whenyoureducethemaxgain,theimagecanbecomedarker.
•Setthemaxgaintoalowervalue.
•Ifpossible,opentheaperture.
•Reducesharpnessintheimage,underVideo>Image>Appearance.
Iftheabovesettingsdonotimprovetheimagesufciently,changetoalenswithalowerf-value.
Reducemotionblurinlow-lightconditions
Toreducemotionblurinlow-lightconditions,adjustoneormoreofthefollowingsettingsinVideo>Image>Exposure:
•MovetheBlur-noisetrade-offslidertowardLowmotionblur.
Note
Whenyouincreasethegain,imagenoisealsoincreases.
•SetMaxshuttertoashortertime,andMaxgaintoahighervalue.
Note
Whenyouopentheaperture,thedepthofeldgetsshallower.
