3. Intended use
The storage trays make possible mechanical cleaning, disinfection and
sterilization of the Aesculap COMFORT Motorline, the ACCULAN-II
series, the HiLAN motor system, the MiniLine and of selected INTRA
motor components.

Ø Prior to the first mechanical processing of Aesculap
components, please read these instructions
carefully. This will ensure that no damage results
from incorrect assembly or operation, which are not
covered by the guarantee and for which the
manufacturer shall not be liable.
Ø The mechanical cleaning of Aesculap components
must be carried out by qualified personnel only.
Ø We reserve the right to modify our products and
their technical specifications without prior notice.
Ø Aesculap components may be cleaned mechanically
only if the instructions laid down in this document
are adhered to. Failure to observe these instructions
may result in damage to the components and will
invalidate any guarantee for the components
affected.

Ø Only apply a cleaning and disinfection program
according to the instructions in chapter 8. The
application of unsuitable programs and detergents
may result in damage to the components.
Ø Please note that the compressed air hoses GA 460,
GA 464, GA 466, GA 505, GA 513 and GA 523 may
be machine-cleaned only if the plug-side sleeves are
equipped with drainage holes (see fig. 1). Com-
pressed air hoses without drainage holes can be
modified for machine-cleaning by Aesculap Techni-
cal Service.
Ø The flexible shafts GB 400 and GB 401 are
machine-cleanable from serial no. 0200 only. Older
flexible shafts (carrying lower serial numbers) can be
modified by Aesculap Technical Service.
Ø The ACCULAN drill GA 620 must not be cleaned
mechanically. However, this drill can be upgraded
for mechanical cleaning, by Aesculap Technical
Service.
