Steam and Blend (Automatic): This mode allows users to steam ingredients for a selected duration, after which the machine automatically transitions to a blending cycle. The steam time can be adjusted in 5-minute increments, up to a maximum of 30 minutes. Once the steaming is complete, a 30-second blend cycle automatically activates, and the machine then shuts off. The Water Tank should be filled with purified water for steaming. Assembly: The appliance requires proper assembly for safe and effective operation. The Water Tank locks onto the Base, and the Steam Tank Lid must be locked clockwise. The Blade is placed onto the Driveshaft inside the Bowl, ensuring it is in the "up" position for steaming. The Driveshaft and its Gasket must be properly inserted and locked into the Bowl to prevent damage. Finally, the Bowl Lid is closed securely by turning it clockwise, and the Bowl itself is locked onto the Base by turning it clockwise. Blade Positions: The blade has two distinct positions: "up" for steaming and "down" for blending. When steaming, the blade should be placed on the Driveshaft without turning it, allowing it to remain in the up position. When blending, the blade automatically drops to the down position.
Safety Mechanisms: The device incorporates several safety features. A "Safety Switch Function" automatically shuts off the machine and emits rapid beeps if the Bowl Lid is opened or the Bowl is removed from the Base during operation. If these components are replaced within 5 seconds, the machine will resume; otherwise, it returns to standby mode. An "Overheating Protection" feature activates if the Steam Chamber runs dry, shutting off the heater and beeping rapidly five times, prompting the user to add water to the Water Tank.
Control Panel: The control panel is straightforward, featuring buttons for "steam," "steam + blend," "blend," "start," and "stop," along with the LCD display. A protective film on the control panel can be removed if desired.

General Cleaning: The appliance should always be unplugged before cleaning. All parts that come into contact with food, including the Bowl, Blade, and Bowl Lid, are top-shelf dishwasher safe and can also be hand washed.
Water Tank Cleaning: To clean the Water Tank, it should be filled with warm soapy water, the cap tightened, and shaken vigorously. After emptying the soapy water, it should be rinsed thoroughly.
Steam Tank Cleaning: The Steam Tank requires regular cleaning. The Steam Tank Lid should be removed, and the tank wiped with a damp scouring pad. The Base of the unit should only be wiped with a damp cloth. Abrasive pads should not be used on machine parts, with the exception of the stainless steel heating plate.
Driveshaft Maintenance: The Driveshaft should be removed from the Bowl for cleaning, especially before placing the Bowl in a dishwasher. To remove it, the knob on the bottom of the Bowl is turned clockwise and pulled out. The Driveshaft should be rinsed with water and wiped clean. It is important not to misplace the Driveshaft Gasket during cleaning. To replace the Driveshaft, it is inserted into the hole in the bottom of the Bowl and turned counter-clockwise to lock it in place. The Driveshaft itself should never be put in the dishwasher. It is crucial to ensure the Driveshaft and Gasket are properly inserted and locked to prevent damage to the Bowl and Base.
Troubleshooting: The manual provides a troubleshooting chart to address common issues such as the machine not starting, stopping during operation, inconsistent puree texture, difficulty removing the blade, and scaling in the Steam Tank. For problems that cannot be resolved using the chart, customer service contact information is provided. Scaling in the Steam Tank, often caused by mineral-rich water, can be remedied by wiping with a damp scouring pad.
