• To lock the selected length in
place press the button until the
lock symbol appears. An LED
with the following symbol should
appear

• To unlock the length control
wheel, press the button until the
lock symbol disappears and the
unlock LED illuminates with the
following symbol
.
Warning: Do not force the dial
length control to adjust settings or
apply unnecessary pressure to the
comb guide when the switch is set
to the length lock position as this
may cause damage to the unit.
Travel lock feature
• The FX775E has a travel lock
feature which will lock ON/
OFF BUTTON from activating
accidently.
• To activate the travel lock, press
and hold the I/O button for
3 seconds until a green lock
symbol appears. After 3 seconds
the green symbol will disappear
however the appliance will stay
locked.
• If you press the I/O button for less
than 3 seconds the travel lock
symbol will appear and ash and
the appliance will not turn on.
• To de-activate the travel lock,
press and hold the I/O for 3
seconds, the motor switches on
and starts running. The travel lock
is now deactivated.
• When you place the unit in
the charger, the travel lock is
automatically deactivated.
Using the trimmer without the
comb guide
• The trimmer can also be used for
detailing/ shaping around the
edge of the beard
• To remove the comb guide, turn
the dial past the longest length
and slowly pull the comb guide
upwards and away from the
trimmer body.
• Hold the trimmer upside down
with the blade facing downwards,
yet at against the skin.
• Switch the FX775E on by pressing
the ‘‘I/O’’ button. The LED will
illuminate and the blades will
start to move.
• Move the trimmer gently
downwards in small strokes
around the edge of the area you
wish to outline.
• Having dened the outline, hold
the trimmer with the blades
pointing upwards against the
direction of hair growth. This will
trim the unwanted hair adjacent
to the outline.
• If you are looking for an ultra-
close nish, you can use the
trimmer without the comb guide.
This will give an extremely short
cut.
IMPORTANT: Please note when
using the trimmer without the
comb guide, the cutting length
will be below 1mm. The length
setting shown on the LED screen
will no longer be relevant when
the comb guide is detached.
