Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Checks:
    • Beginning of each play season: Tighten all hardware, lubricate metallic moving parts, check and replace protective coverings, inspect moving parts (swings, ropes, chains) for wear/rust, check metal parts for rust (sand and repaint if needed), inspect wood for deterioration/splinters (sand down splinters, replace deteriorating wood), reinstall plastic parts, and rake/check depth of loose-fill surfacing.
    • Twice a month during play season: Tighten all hardware, check protective coverings, and rake/check depth of loose-fill surfacing.
    • Once a month during play season: Lubricate metallic moving parts and check moving parts (swings, ropes, chains) for wear/rust.
    • Monthly (wood parts): Inspect for lifting grain and splinters; light sanding may be necessary.
  • Wood Protection: Wood is pre-coated with a water-based stain. Annual application of a water repellent or stain (sealant) is required to reduce weathering (checking, warping, fading) and maintain warranty.
  • Leveling: Ensure the playset remains level and true at the beginning of each play season.
  • Disposal: Instructions for disassembling and disposing of the playcenter safely when no longer desired.
  • Warranty: Limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years for wood play products (five years for rot and decay), and five (5) years for metal play products.
