AIR CLEANER
The air cleaner is the engine’s only defense against
damaging foreign particles. It is very important that the air
cleaner element is inspected prior to each use. Remove
the element and tap its sides in order to remove debris.
Do not blow the filter out using compressed air. Doing so
will greatly reduce the air cleaner’s effectiveness.
Reference section 4 for the recommended replacement
interval of the air cleaner. Adhering to these practices will
help prevent loss of power and premature engine failure.
CHANGING THE AIR CLEANER
1. Locate the air filter and remove the cover.
2. Remove the inner and outer elements
(If equipped).
3. Replace the inner and outer elements by
placing the inner element into the air intake
followed by fitting the outer element over the
inner element.
4. Replace and secure air filter cover.
