The pump may be drawing in air, so fill the fuel oil tank, replace the O-rings, check the suction line for leaks, and shut the vent cock. The photosensor might be getting outside light, so push the photosensor into the bushing, ensuring the glass side faces the tumbler. A blocked nozzle could also be the cause, so replace the nozzle. Check the transformer, cables, and ignition electrodes and replace the ignition electrodes if there is no ignition spark.
