5.5 Finish cutting process
DANGER
Risk of injury due to an uncontrolled recoil of the
wall chaser, caused by canting of the wall chaser in
the cut chase.
Î Always wait for the cutter to stop completely
before removing the wall chaser from the cut
chase.

The wall chaser switches off as soon as the
pressure on the control handle (4) in the direc-
tion of cutting is reduced.
• Do not remove the wall chaser from the chase
and put it down until the cutter has completely
stopped rotating.
6 Cleaning
DANGER
Risk of fatal injuries due to electric shock.
Î Disconnect the mains plug before carrying out
any work on the wall chaser.
The machine must be cleaned after each cutting
work session.
• Clean the machine carefully.
• Ensure handles are dry and free from grease.
7 Maintenance

Î Disconnect the mains plug before carrying out
any work on the wall chaser.
The wall chaser must be serviced at least once a
year. Further, servicing will be necessary depending
on the wear of the carbon brushes.
Only servicing and repair firms authorised by
Maschinenfabrik OTTO BAIER GmbH may car-
ry out maintenance of the machine. Also ensure
that original BAIER spare parts and original BAIER
accessories only are used.
