What to do if my Baileigh BB-4816M machine does not operate?
    • C
      Corey BoyleAug 1, 2025
If your Baileigh Cutter machine isn't starting, first, ensure it's properly plugged into a working electrical outlet, and the power switch is illuminated in the ON position. Confirm that the bending leaf is in the lower position before pressing the start button, and that the bending leaf micro-switch is correctly adjusted. If the issue persists, try starting the machine with the footswitch to check if the start pushbutton is faulty. Also, ensure the machine hasn't overheated; if so, allow it to cool down before attempting to restart. Lastly, an electrician should check the connector and magnet at the electrical module for loose connections. Blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers, as well as a blown bridge rectifier, may require replacing the 15 microfarad capacitor.

Why is the clamp bar not being released on my Baileigh Cutter?
    • J
      Jerry BradfordAug 15, 2025
If the clamp bar on your Baileigh Cutter isn't being released, the reverse pulse de-magnetizing circuit may be failing. Inspect the relay for sticky contacts and clean them. Alternatively, the 6.8 power resistor or diodes could be faulty and require replacement.
