AWA Troubleshooting
24. When replacing either the 80-100
AD/IO board or 80-123 Fast A/D board,
they will not function properly.
All circuitry has been verified with ohmmeters, oscilloscopes and signal generators. All
traces, I.C.’ and discrete components have been replaced and/or verified:
a. Make sure the address selector switches have not been changed at S1, SW1 (the red
switches)
b. The 80-100 board is set to 320H
c. The 80-123 board is set to 310H
25. AWA no longer works after installing a
new version of Analyzer software.
a. When installing newer AWA software to the AWA, be sure to select the option for
“Custom” install, and then “ANALYZER SOFWARE” during the install-shield
process. If the user installs the “DESKTOP” software, during a “TYPICAL”
installation, it is possible the ATODIO.SYS and FASTATODIO.SYS will not be
loaded to the AWA tester. To clear, un-install and re-install the software as a
“CUSTOM” install.
b. AWA version 2.2 and earlier software may over-write the C:\WINNT\AWA.ini file.
It is not recommended to use AWA software 2.2 or earlier. If, for any reason V2.2 or
earlier was used, it is possible to obtain the original (as it left Baker Instrument)
calibration file, by contacting Baker Instrument service department. If possible, back
up the original Awa.ini file.
