The BALMUDA The Toaster is an electric oven primarily designed for toasting various types of bread and other food items. It utilizes steam technology to achieve optimal toasting results, ensuring the inside remains moist while the outside is crispy. The toaster features multiple cooking modes tailored for different food types, including Toast mode (for bread, bagel, and English muffin), Cheese toast mode (for cheese toast and pizza toast), French bread mode, Croissant mode, and Classic mode (for items like gratin, rice cake, and frozen food). Each mode is designed to provide specific heating and steaming conditions to bring out the best in the food.

Usage Features:

The toaster is designed for intuitive operation with a mode selection dial and a timer dial.

Installation: Before first use, users must remove fixing tape, install the boiler cover, install the toasting rack, and install the crumb catcher. The main unit should be placed on a horizontal and stable surface, maintaining specific clearances from walls and other objects (4.5 cm on sides, 10 cm on top, 4.5 cm on rear).
Cooking Modes:
- Toast mode: Warms up the entire bread at a constant temperature, lightly browns the surface.
- Cheese toast mode: Warms up the top of the bread at a higher heat, browns the cheese.
- French bread mode: Browns the bread and warms up the whole at a constant temperature.
- Croissant mode: Warms up the entire bread at a constant temperature, and toasts the surface crisply.
- Classic mode: Operates at specific internal temperatures (170°C, 200°C, 250°C) for various items.
Steam Function: For most modes, 5 cc of water is poured into the water inlet to generate steam, which helps keep the inside of the food moist.
Timer Dial: Allows setting cooking time from 1 to 15 minutes. The timer indicator lights up in orange during cooking and blinks when remaining time is displayed.
Power ON/OFF Button: Used to turn the power ON/OFF. The power plug must be inserted into a household outlet for the unit to operate.
Safety Precautions: Users are advised not to touch the metal part when removing food, not to leave the main unit unattended, not to use parchment paper or baking sheets, and to avoid using metal utensils that could damage the heater tubes.

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance ensures the toaster's longevity and performance.

Main Unit and Inside:
- Disconnect the power plug and allow the unit to cool down.
- Wipe with a soft cloth or a squeezed cloth moistened with diluted dishwashing detergent (neutral), then wipe with water and dry thoroughly.
- Do not splash water directly on the unit.
- Do not use a dish washer to clean the product.
Toasting Rack:
- Remove the toasting rack by pulling it downward and outward from the door hooks.
- Clean with diluted dishwashing detergent (neutral) and dry thoroughly.
- Reinstall by placing the rack hooks onto the shaft and door hooks.
Boiler Cover:
- Remove the boiler cover by sliding it in the direction of the arrow.
- Wipe inside and around the boiler tray with a soft cloth moistened with water. If dirt remains, use diluted dishwashing detergent (neutral) and then wipe with water and dry.
- Clean the boiler cover with diluted dishwashing detergent (neutral) and dry thoroughly.
- Reinstall by placing it between the guides on the boiler tray.
Crumb Catcher:
- Remove the crumb catcher from the front of the unit.
- Discard all debris.
- Clean the tray with diluted dishwashing detergent (neutral) and dry thoroughly.
- Reinstall by sliding it into the unit.
Heater Tubes: Handle with care as they can be hot and cause injury. Do not touch them.
Periodic Maintenance: Periodically perform maintenance according to the table and procedure provided in the manual. If the inside of the toaster is stained, it may cause uneven toasting and other issues.

The manual also provides troubleshooting steps for common issues such as smoke or odor, abnormal heating, and water leaks. It emphasizes the importance of registering the product for warranty and support services.
