Why is the temperature readout on my Barnstead International Furnace inaccurate?

An oxidized or contaminated thermocouple, a poor thermocouple connection, or reversed thermocouple connections can cause this. Replace the thermocouple, tighten connections, use correct loading procedures, clear the area around the furnace base, and reconnect the thermocouple correctly. If the issue persists, consider re-tuning the control or verifying and correcting all parameter and configuration values. If 'malfunction' continues, replace the control.
