Safety Device Explanation
1. Hand Guard – A guard that protects your hand
on the Front Handle from the Saw Chain.
2. Chain Brake – A mechanical braking device
designed to quickly stop the Chainsaw and Chain
in the event of kickback. If kickback occurs, this
safety feature is activated when the operator’s
hand strikes the Hand Guard / Chain Brake Lever
and pushes it forward, stopping the Chain.
3. Trigger Lockout – A movable stop that
prevents the unintentional operation of
the Trigger until manually activated.
4. Low-Kickback Chain – A chain that complies
with the kickback performance requirements
of ANSI B175.1-1991 when tested on a
representative sample of chain saws.
