Side effects involving the body as a whole have not
been reported to date. Correct fitting is assumed. Do
not put the GenuTrainS on too tightly as this could
lead to local pressure symptoms. In rare cases,
constriction of blood vessels and nerves may occur.
If this happens, loosen the straps of the GenuTrainS
and, if necessary, have the size of your GenuTrainS
checked.
Contains natural rubber latex (Elastodiene)
which can cause skin irritation in persons with
an allergy. Take o the support if you notice any
allergic reaction.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity reactions harmful to health have not
been reported to date. In the following conditions
such aids should only be fitted and applied after
consultation with your physician:
• Skin disorders / injuries in the relevant part of the
body, particularly if inflammation is present;
likewise, any raised scars with swelling, redness
and excessive heat build-up
• Varicose veins
• Impaired sensation and movement disorders of the
legs (e. g. diabetes mellitus)
• Impaired lymph drainage, including soft tissue
swellings of uncertain origin located away from the
fitted support
Application instructions
Putting on the GenuTrainS

First loosen the four ends of the Velcro straps of
the GenuTrain S without pulling them out of the slits.

Grip the tightening straps at the sides with your
fingers and pull the support over the aected knee
until the kneecap is enclosed by the massage ring
(pad), without any pressure being exerted on it. The
Velcro ends of the straps should now be on the
outside of the leg.

By pulling the straps you can
stabilize the knee comfortably.

Fasten all four of
the strap ends.

Undo the straps. Grip the support at the level of
the calf. Pull the support o in a downward direction.
Cleaning instructions
Note: Never subject the GenuTrain S to direct heat
(e. g. heaters, sunlight, in your car, etc.)! This could
damage the material, which can impair the
eectiveness of the GenuTrain S.
The sewn-in label of the GenuTrain S, which contains
information on the product name, size, manufacturer,
washing instructions and CE mark, is located on the
upper edge of the support.
Remove the Velcro straps. Fasten the ends back onto
the straps to avoid any damage. Pull the joint splints
upward and out of the guide channels. Wash the
support separately in a lingerie bag with a mild
laundry detergent at 30 °C (no woolite). Do not run the
spin cycle on your washing machine at speeds higher
than 500 rpm. Wash the GenuTrain S regularly so that
the knit fabric retains its compressive properties.
Once the support has dried, guide the joint splints
back into the guide channels from above, in line with
the markings. The joint thus point toward the hollow
of the knee. Fasten the straps onto the eyelets of the
joint splints.

The GenuTrain S is intended for your treatment
only. It has been adapted specifically for you. For
this reason, do not pass the GenuTrain S on to other
people.

product was purchased apply. Country-specific
warranty regulations that govern the relationship
between the retailer and the buyer also apply where
relevant. If you believe that a claim may be made
under the warranty, please first contact the retailer
from which you purchased the product directly.
Please do not make any changes to the product
yourself. This particularly applies to individual
adjustments made by specialists. Please follow our
instructions for use and care. These are based on
our experience gained over many years and ensure
the functionality of our medically eective products
for a long time. Only aids that function optimally can
help you. Failure to follow the instructions may also
restrict the warranty.
Disposal
You can dispose of the product in accordance with
national legal requirements.

General notes
• Check the optimal and individual fit of the
GenuTrain S after the first fitting. Make corrections
if necessary.
• Practice the correct procedure for putting on the
orthosis with the patient.
• The product must not be changed in any improper
way. Failure to comply with this requirement may
adversely aect the medical and therapeutic
eectiveness of the product, thereby voiding any
product liability.
• The GenuTrain S is intended for the treatment of
one patient only.
Shaping the joint splints:

Remove the Velcro straps.
II
Take the joint
splints out of the guide channels on the support.
Check the fit of the joint splints on the patient. Pay
attention here to any particular anatomical conditions
(e. g. fibular knobs).
III
If necessary, adjust the joint
splints with a hot-air gun at 120 – 140 °C.
Wear protective gloves while you are doing this.
IV
Place the support on its side so that the guide
channel is directly in front of you. The arrow marking
on the joint should be pointing upward, while the
curve of the joint splints points toward the hollow
of the knee.

Insert the joint splints into the guide
channel through the large upper slits at the back.
VI
Pull the guide channels outward and upward for
easier positioning at the tightening straps.
Fitting the straps:

Sort the straps according to length and width.
Arrangement: wide straps for the thigh area, narrow
ones for the lower leg, longer straps for the back
of the support, shorter ones for the front (side with
Bauerfeind B). Place the support in front of you with
the front facing downward.

The straps are always
attached at the upward-facing eyelets, starting from
the inside of the support (take right / left version
into account). Push the two longer straps with the
straight ends and Velcro fastening upward through
the eyelets. Fasten the ends together just after the
eyelets.
IX
Then guide the rounded strap ends with
Velcro fastening upward through the eyelet on the
opposite side. Fasten the strap ends just after the
eyelet.
X
Turn the support over. Now follow the
same procedure with the shorter straps.

Utilisation
GenuTrainS est une genouillère active aux formes
anatomiques préformées, destinée au genou. Les
barres latérales articulées, permettant de limiter la
flexion, sont directement maintenues par le système
à sangles auto-agrippantes, ce qui leur permet de
soutenir le déroulement naturel du mouvement.
Lors du mouvement, l’anneau viscoélastique agit
par compression et massage des parties molles de
l’articulation. L’amélioration de la vascularisation
de la capsule articulaire et l’aide à la circulation
lymphatique entraînent une diminution de l’œdème,
un soulagement des douleurs et une amélioration
fonctionnelle, tout en soulageant la rotule.

Une combinaison avec d’autres produits, par ex.
dans le cadre d’un traitement de compression
médicale veineuse (port de bas de compression), doit

problèmes ou des modifications exceptionnelles,

Le produit ne doit pas être utilisé au contact de
substances grasses ou acides, de crèmes ou de
lotions.
N’eectuez aucune modification sur le produit. En cas
de non-respect, les propriétés du produit peuvent en

Aucun eet secondaire sur l’organisme en général
n’est connu à ce jour. Il est cependant indispensable
que ce dispositif soit correctement mis en place et
utilisé. GenuTrainS ne doit pas être porté trop serré
afin d’éviter des pressions locales excessives. Une
compression des vaisseaux sanguins et des nerfs est
possible dans de rares cas. Dans ce cas, desserrez
les sangles de GenuTrainS et faites vérifier, le cas
échéant, la taille de votre GenuTrainS.
Contient du caoutchouc naturel (élastodiène) qui
peut provoquer des irritations cutanées en cas
d’hypersensibilité. Veuillez retirer le orthèse si
vous observez des réactions allergiques.
Contre-indications
Aucune hypersensibilité cliniquement significative
n’est connue à ce jour. En cas d’existence ou d’appari

tion des symptômes cités ci-après, l’utilisation de ce
produit doit préalablement faire l’objet d’une consul
-
tation auprès de votre médecin habituel :
• Dermatoses / lésions cutanées dans la zone en
contact avec l’orthèse, notamment en cas
d’inflammations et en présence de cicatrices avec
gonflement, rougeur et hyperthermie
• Varices (maladies variqueuses)
• Troubles sensoriels et troubles moteurs des
jambes, par ex. en présence d’un diabète sucré
• Troubles de la circulation lymphatique, également
tuméfactions inexpliquées des masses molles
même éloignées du bandage porté
Conseils d’utilisation

Défaites tout d’abord les 4 extrémités
auto-agrippantes des sangles de GenuTrain S sans
les retirer des fentes.

Passez les doigts dans les
pochettes de fixation latérales et tirez le bandage sur
le genou à soigner jusqu’à ce que l’anneau de
massage (ou pelote) entoure le ménisque sans
exercer de pression. Les extrémités auto-agrippantes
de la sangle se trouvent alors sur le côté extérieur de
la jambe.

Le serrage des sangles vous permet
d’obtenir le degré de stabilité désiré.

Attachez les
4 extrémités de la sangle.

Ouvrez les sangles. Saisissez le orthèse au niveau
du mollet. Tirez le orthèse vers le bas.
Conseil de nettoyage
Remarque : N’exposez jamais GenuTrain S à la
chaleur directe (par ex. chauage, soleil, dans une
voiture) ! La chaleur peut endommager le matériau.
Cela peut limiter l’ecacité de GenuTrain S.
L’étiquette cousue de GenuTrain S comprenant des
informations sur le nom du produit, sa taille, le
fabricant, les consignes de lavage et le sigle CE se
trouve sur le bord supérieur de la genouillère.
Retirez les sangles auto-agrippantes. Attachez à
nouveau les extrémités auto-agrippantes à la sangle
pour qu’elles ne soient pas endommagées. Sortez les
barres articulées de leur logement en les tirant vers
le haut. Lavez le orthèse séparément dans un filet à
linge, à 30 °C et avec une lessive pour linge délicat.
Pour l’essorage du orthèse, ne dépassez jamais
500tours par minute. Veuillez laver régulièrement
GenuTrainS afin de maintenir l’eet compressif du
tricot.
Une fois la genouillère séchée, ré-insérez par le haut
les barres articulées dans leur logement selon les
repères, les articulations étant dirigées vers le creux
du genou. Fixez les sangles dans les œillets des
barres articulées.
Pour toute réclamation, veuillez vous adresser
exclusivement à votre revendeur spécialisé. Nous
tenons à vous informer que seuls des produits
propres peuvent être pris en considération.
Conseils pour une réutilisation
GenuTrain S vous est destinée personnellement. Elle
a été adaptée à votre pathologie. C’est pourquoi vous
ne devez pas transmettre GenuTrain S à une tierce
personne.

dans lequel le produit a été acheté. Le cas-
échéant, les règles de garantie spécifiques au pays
