ManuTrain is a high-quality medical product.
Please carefully read through these instructions
for use and if you have any questions contact your
doctor, medical retailer or our Technical Service
department.
Intended use
This support is anatomically shaped to help stabilize
the wrist. On the inside of the hand it has an
anatomically shaped (and individually adjustable)
spatula-like insert. The arrowhead-shaped pads
(pressure pads) of visco-elastic silicone rubber are
incorporated into the side of the support, where they
apply a targeted, gentle compressive massage to the
soft tissues of the joint. During movement ManuTrain
massages the soft tissues to en hance blood flow
and thus produce a rapid reduction in swelling and
bruising. Positioning the hand in extension (after
individual adjust ment of the stay on the inner hand
by heating), relaxes the extensor muscles of the
forearm, relieving the tendon attachment at the
elbow and thereby reducing irritation. The additional
Velcro® fastening fully secures the palm splint thus
stabilizing the wrist joint.
ManuTrain must be fitted for the first use by a
trained specialist, otherwise we cannot accept
any liability for the product.
Indications
• Wrist wear (arthritis)
• Wrist injuries, e.g. sprains
• Other types of wrist pain (arthralgia), e.g. rheumatic
• Inflamed tendon sheath
• Instability (e.g. radioulnar subluxation)
Risks of using this product
Important Information
• ManuTrain is a prescribed product that should be
applied under a physician‘s guidance. ManuTrain
should only be applied in accordance with the
instructions contained in these usage directions and
for the listed areas of application.
• The product should not undergo any improper
modification. Failure to comply with the requirement
can impair product performance and thus rule out
any product liability.
• Should you notice any unusual changes (e.g.
increased symptoms), please contact your medical
advisor without delay.
• A combination with our products must be discussed
beforehand with your medical advisor.
• The product‘s unique action is produced primarily
during physical activity. The product should be
removed during prolonged rest breaks (e.g.
sleeping, continous sitting).
• Avoid the use of ointments, lotions or any
substances including grease or acids.
Contains natural rubber latex (Elastodiene)
which can cause skin irritation in persons with
an allergy. Take o the support if you notice any
allergic reaction.
Contraindications
Hypersensitive reactions harmful to health have not
been reported to date. In the following conditions
such aids should only be fitted and worn after
consultation with your medical advisor:
1. Skin disorders/injuries in the relevant part of the
body, particularly if inflammation is present.
Likewise, any raised scars with swelling, redness
and excessive heat build-up.
2. Impaired sensation and circulatory disorders of the
hand.
3. Impaired lymph drainage – including soft tissue
swellings of uncertain origin located remotely from
the fitted aid.
Side eects involving the body as a whole have not
been reported to date. Correct fitting is assumed. Any
supports or orthoses

applied externally to the body
can, if tightened excessively, lead to local pressure
signs or, rarely, constrict the underlying blood vessels
or nerves.
Application instructions
To modify the thermoplastic stay
Heat with a hot air gun at 180° C (365° F) as required.
Fitting ManuTrain
1. Open the Velcro® fastening.
2. Now insert the separate palm stay into the opening
provided

3. Slip the support down the hand so that the wrist is
enclosed, pressure free, in the profile inserts

4. The support is correctly positioned when the small
oval cut-out in the profile insert is over the ulnar
condyle

5. Finally close the Velcro® fastening.

Washing instructions and product care
The sewn-in label of the the ManuTrain, containing
information about the product name, size, manufac
-
turer, washing instructions and CE identification, is
located on the inside of the knitted fabric.
All Train

products can be machine washed
separately at 30°C with liquid detergent. Please note
the following when washing your Train products:
1. For products with Velcro® straps: Remove the
straps if possible, or fasten them securely at the
place provided for this purpose.
2. If possible, also remove pads/inserts and their
terrycloth covers before washing.
We recommend using a mesh laundry bag. (Spin
cycle: max. 400 r.p.m.). Air dry your Train product. Do
not dry it in a dryer because this can compromise the
knitted fabric.
Please wash your Train product regularly so that the
compression of the knitted fabric can be retained.
This product has been examined by our own
quality control system. However, should you have
any complaint, please contact your retailer or our
customer service department.
Notes on reuse
The product is intended to be fitted only once and to
one patient.
Warranty
The legal provisions of the country in which the
product was purchased apply. Country-specific
warranty regulations that govern the relationship
between the retailer and the buyer also apply where
relevant. If you believe that a claim may be made
under the warranty, please first contact the retailer
from which you purchased the product directly.
Please do not make any changes to the product
yourself. This particularly applies to individual
adjustments made by specialists. Please follow our
instructions for use and care. These are based on
our experience gained over many years and ensure
the functionality of our medically eective products
for a long time. Only aids that function optimally can
help you. Failure to follow the instructions may also
restrict the warranty.
Disposal
The product can be disposed of without any
restrictions.
If you have any complaints, please contact your
medical retailer only. Please note that only clean
goods can be dealt with.

Utilisation
Cette orthèse

dispose d’une forme anatomique et
stabilise ainsi parfaitement le poignet. Les inserts en
silicone sont incorporés latéralement et exercent une
contention précise sur le poignet. Les mouvements
du bras créent un massage des parties molles qui
améliore l’irrigation sanguine et provoque ainsi une
résorption rapide des oedèmes et des épanchements.
La mise en extension de la main (après adaptation
individuelle du renfort palmaire thermo formable)
soulage les muscles extenseurs de l’avant-bras
ainsi que l’insertion tendineuse au niveau du coude
: entraînant une diminution de l‘état d‘irritation. La
bande de fixation velcro additive maintient le renfort
palmaire et stabilise le poignet.
La sélection initiale du produit et sa première
mise en place doit être faite par une personne
qualifiée, faute de quoi notre responsabilité ne
saurait être engagée.
Indications
• Usure de l’articulation du poignet (arthrose)
• Blessures du poignet, par ex. foulures (entorses)
• Autres douleurs du poignet (arthralgies), par ex.
rhumatismales
• Inflammation de la gaine des tendons (ténosynovite)
• Instabilité (par ex coude élastique)
Risques d’utilisation
Remarques importantes
• ManuTrain est un produit soumis à la prescription,
qui ne peut être porté que sur avis médical.
ManuTrain doit se porter conformément aux
recommandations de ce mode d’emploi et dans le
respect des indications données.
• En cas d‘utilisation impropre, nous déclinons toute
responsabilité.
• Toute modification inadéquate apportée au produit
est proscrite. Si tel était le cas, cela pourrait avoir
des conséquences sur le bon fonctionnement de
l’appareil pour lesquelles nous déclinons toute
responsabilité.
• Au cas où vous constateriez l’apparition d’eets
indésirables (par exemple une apparition de
douleurs), nous vous conseillons de consulter
immédia tement votre médecin.
• Une combinaison avec d’autres produits doit
préalablement être discutée avec votre médecin
traitant.
• Le produit agit surtout au cours des activités
physiques. Pendant les phases de repos prolongées
(p.ex. sommeil, station assise prolongée), le produit
doit être retiré.
• Ne pas utiliser de produits gras ou acides, de
crèmes ou de lotions.
Contient du caoutchouc naturel (élastodiène) qui
peut provoquer des irritations cutanées en cas
d’hypersensibilité. Veuillez retirer le orthèse si
vous observez des réactions allergiques.
Contra-indications
En cas d‘existence ou d’apparition des symptômes
cités ci-après, l‘utilisation de ce produit doit être
précédé d‘une consultation auprès de votre médecin
habituel :
1. Dermatoses/lésions cutanées dans la zone en
contact avec l’orthèse, notamment en cas
d’inflammations: cicatrices avec gonflement,
rougeur et hyperthermie.
2. Troubles sensoriels et troubles circulatoires de la
main.
3. Troubles d’écoulement de lymphe – également
tuméfactions non expliquées des parties molles
éloignées du moyen auxiliaire posé.
Aucun eet secondaire sur l’organisme en général
n’est connu à ce jour. Il est cependant indispensable
que ce dispositif soit correctement mis en place
et utilisé.Tous les dispositifs médicaux externes
positionnés sur les diérentes parties du corps
(bandages, orthèses…) peuvent conduire à des
pressions locales excessives s’ils sont portés trop
serrés, et plus rarement à un rétrécissement du
calibre des vaisseaux sanguins ou des nerfs.
Conseils d’utilisation

Ajustement du renfort palmaire par thermoformage

Mise en place de ManuTrain
1. Ouvrez la bande velcro.
2. Insérer le renfort palmaire dans l’orifice prévu à cet

3. Puis, enfiler complètement l’orthèse le long du
poignet

4. L’orthèse est parfaitement positionnée lorsque le
petit évidement ovale inclus dans l’insert en
silicone est positionné sur le condyle ulnaire

5. Fermer la bande de fixation velcro.
