  If the burner won't light, check for obstructions. If necessary, wash out the burner and dry it. Also, inspect the LP tank, burner, and HVR assembly for any damage and replace any faulty parts.

Why does my Bayou Classic Cooker flame dramatically reduce and the LP cylinder has frost on it?

  This issue occurs due to extended cooking on HIGH. Swap to a full LP tank. Alternatively, interrupt cooking for a few minutes, then resume cooking at a MEDIUM setting using the same LP tank.

What to do if my Bayou Classic Cooker flame has gone out?

  If the flame goes out, the LP tank may have low fuel. Use a tank fill gauge to always know the gas level. If the gas is too low to operate, refill or exchange the tank. Also, check the wind direction and wait for the wind to die down, or move the appliance away from windy areas.

  Hissing or gurgling sounds indicate a damaged or leaking hose and regulator assembly or moisture in the burner. Turn the appliance off and wait for it to cool down. Perform a Gas Leak Test to confirm a gas leak and replace any damaged or faulty parts. If there is moisture, detach the hose and pour out the water.

Why is my Bayou Classic Cooker burner flame small or sooty?

  A small or sooty flame can be due to several reasons. The LP tank may have low fuel, so use a tank fill gauge to always know the gas level, and refill or exchange the tank if needed. The Gas Flow Limiting Device may have activated; completely turn off the LP Cylinder Valve and the Brass Valve, wait 30 seconds, and repeat the lighting steps. Ensure there's enough gas flow from the tank by fully opening the LP Cylinder Valve. Finally, adjust the Brass Valve to obtain an optimum blue flame, correcting a poor oxygen/gas mixture.
