BEFORE USING YOUR OVEN
Before using your electric oven for the first time, make sure that:
1. You read all instructions in this manual.
2. Make sure the oven is not plugged in and the timer is in the OFF position.
3. You wash all accessories in warm water or in the dishwasher.
4. Dry all accessories thoroughly and put them back in the oven, plug the oven in and
you are ready to use your new grill oven.
5. After reassembling your oven, we recommend running it on the highest temperature
(220 degrees) on the grill function for about 15 minutes to remove any packaging
residue left over after shipment. This also removes any residue of odors, which
initially present.
NOTE: there may be odors and some smoke at first start up. This is normal and
harmless. This is due to the bonding of the protective fabric applied to the heating
elements at the factory.
Familiarize yourself with the following oven functions and accessories before using
for the first time:
• Temperature control: choose the desired temperature from 100 degrees to 220
degrees for the preparation.
• Important function settings: Frying ( ): in this position the top two heating
elements.
Baking ( ): in this position the two lower heating elements can work.
Upper and lower: heating elements ( ): in this position, the upper and lower
heating elements can work together.
Upper and lower heating + convection: in this position both the lower and upper
heating element and the convection function can work together.
Upper and lower heating element + grill: in this position both the lower and upper
heating element and the grill function can work together.
Upper and lower heating elements + convection + grill: in this position both the
lower and upper heating elements, as well as the convection and grill functions,
work together.
• Timer: turning it activates the timer portion of the control, turn to the right (clockwise)
to grill or use as a timer. This feature also has a bell that sounds at the end of the
programmed time.
• Warninglight: will turn on when the heating element is turned on.
• Baking tray: for use in grilling and roasting meat, fowl, fish and various other foods.
Can also be used as a drip tray to collect oil.
• Grid: for roasting, baking and general cooking in casseroles and standard pans.
CAUTION: to avoid risk of injury or burns, do not touch hot surfaces when the oven is
in use. Always use extreme care when removing the baking tray, wire rack or any other
hot container from a hot oven, always use the tray handle or an oven glove.
