A dirty muffler can increase the noise level and affect the proper running
of the engine. Clean and maintain the spark arrest, making sure the gen-
erator operates normally. The spark arrest may need cleaning frequently
if the generator is used in dirty conditions. Replace the spark arrest if
necessary.

The muffler becomes very hot during operating and
remains hot for a while after stopping the engine.
• Be careful not to touch the muffler while it is hot. Let the engine cool
before starting any maintenance.
• To prevent scalding, allow unit to cool after stopping the engine.
1. Remove the M6 screws and open the muffler cover.
2. Remove two M4 screws on the fire net.
3. Take down the fire net as per the following figure.
4. Check the fire net, clean or replace it if necessary.
4. Remove the carbon deposits on the muffler screen and spark arrester
using a wire brush.
5. Install the muffler screen.

6．TROUBLE SHOOTING
1）Engine won’t start
1. Fuel systems
No fuel supplied to combustion chamber.
z No fuel in tank….Supply fuel.
z Fuel in tank….Fuel tank cap air vent knob to “ON”, fuel cock knob to “ON”.
z Clogged fuel line….Clean fuel line.
z clogged carburetor….Clean carburetor.
2．Engine oil system
Insufficient
z Oil level is low….Add engine oil.
3. Electrical systems
Poor spark
z Spark plug dirty with carbon or wet….Remove carbon or wipe spark plug dry.
z Faulty ignition system….Consult dealer.
4. Compression insufficient
z Worn out piston and cylinder….Consult dealer.
2）
Generator won’t produce power
Safety device (AC) to “OFF” …Stop the engine, then restart.
Safety device (DC) to “OFF” …Press to reset the DC protector
