Overview

The ZENSAFE is an opening and safety sensor designed for automatic sliding doors. It integrates both motion detection and presence detection technologies to ensure safe and efficient door operation.

Function Description

The device utilizes a combination of microwave doppler radar for motion detection and active infrared with background analysis for presence detection. The motion sensor detects movement within its field, triggering the door to open. The presence sensor maintains the door in an open position as long as an object or person is detected in its field, preventing the door from closing on them.

The sensor provides visual feedback through a series of LED signals:

  • ORANGE LED (flashing every second): Indicates the sensor is in security mode. To resolve, cut and restore power supply.
  • ORANGE LED (flashing 1x): Signals an internal fault. To resolve, cut and restore power supply. If the LED flashes again, the sensor needs replacement.
  • ORANGE LED (on): Indicates a memory problem. To resolve, cut and restore power supply. If the LED lights up again, the sensor needs replacement.
  • RED LED (flashing quickly after setup): The sensor detects the door during setup. This requires checking the IR-curtain angle, launching a new setup, and ensuring no one is in the detection field.
  • RED LED (sporadically lit): Indicates the sensor is vibrating or detecting the door. If vibrating, check if the sensor is firmly fastened and verify the position of the prism and cover. If detecting the door, launch a setup and adjust the IR angle.
  • GREEN LED (sporadically lit): Indicates "ghosting" (false detection) or the sensor vibrating/detecting the door or other moving objects. If ghosting, change the radar antenna angle. If vibrating, check fastening and cable/cover position. If detecting objects, remove them if possible, change the radar antenna, or adjust the radar field size (sensitivity).
  • Door reaction not corresponding to LED signal: Check wiring.
