Overview

This document provides a comprehensive instruction manual for the Bearmach BA 3228 Car Refrigerator, detailing its functions, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description

The Bearmach BA 3228 Car Refrigerator is designed for both car and home use, operating on 12/24V DC or 220V AC with a power adapter. It features a high-efficiency, energy-saving DC compressor and a conversion module, ensuring high reliability, long service life, and fast refrigeration. This allows the unit to both refrigerate and deep freeze contents. The temperature control range is adjustable from -26 °C to +10 °C, making it versatile for various cooling needs.

The refrigerator incorporates a fluorine-free environmental protection insulation layer, which contributes to good insulation performance and low energy consumption. The outer box is constructed from high-quality engineering plastics, giving it a beautiful and generous appearance.

Operation is straightforward with a user-friendly control panel. To power the unit on or off, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. Note that after a power cut-off and subsequent restart, there is a 3-minute delay before the compressor begins to work. Temperature adjustment is done by pressing the "Increase" or "Decrease" buttons. During operation, the panel will flash for 5 seconds to display the internal temperature.

The refrigerator also offers various parameter settings accessible via the "Set" button. Repeated presses of the "Set" button cycle through options such as Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F) display, ECO (energy-saving mode with compressor speed 2000R/min), and MAX (fast cooling mode with compressor speed 3000R/min). Additionally, it provides three levels of battery voltage protection: Low (V_), Mid (V=), and High (VЕ). Once the desired parameter flashes, stop pressing to confirm the setting. This voltage protection feature is crucial for safeguarding your car battery from excessive discharge.

The device includes a power memory function, meaning that upon restart, the temperature setting will revert to the last one set before the unit was powered off. This eliminates the need to reconfigure settings after a power interruption.

Usage Features

To ensure safe and optimal performance, several usage guidelines must be followed. It is critical to avoid direct contact with damaged power lines or the refrigerator's power plug with wet hands or feet, as this poses an electrical hazard. When used in cars or ships, the power supply must be equipped with fuses and ground protection devices.

Proper ventilation is essential for the car fridge's efficient operation and heat dissipation. It is recommended to maintain at least 200mm of space behind the unit and 100mm on its sides. The refrigerator should be kept away from direct sunlight and other heat sources to prevent overheating and ensure effective cooling.

For stability, the car fridge must be placed on a flat and firm surface. If used in a vehicle, it should be secured with a pull belt to prevent movement during transit. Any installation of a 12/24V DC power supply on board should be performed by a professional electrician.

When charging vehicle batteries, the car fridge must be disconnected from the power supply to prevent potential damage. Always verify that the voltage of the power supply connected to the product matches the parameters specified on the label at the bottom of the unit. It is also important not to use other electrical products inside the car fridge.

To prevent rust, leakage, and malfunction, avoid excessive moisture and water showers. The car fridge should not be directly washed with water.

The refrigerator is designed with a 3-minute time delay for compressor protection. This means that after being turned on, the compressor will not start immediately but will wait for 3 minutes. The compressor will only begin working if the cabinet temperature is more than 3°C higher than the set temperature. Once the cabinet temperature equals the set temperature, the compressor will stop working. To further protect the compressor, it will restart after a minimum of 3 minutes.

Troubleshooting common issues: If the refrigerator does not work, check the power supply connection, ensure proper ventilation, verify the fuse, and confirm the power switch on the control panel is on. Abnormal noise might indicate that the refrigerator is not placed smoothly, is hitting other items, or has loose internal parts. Condensation on the surface is normal if ambient air humidity exceeds 75%. If cooling is poor, check if the food storage is too crowded, the door is properly closed, the door seal is intact, the radiator is well-ventilated, or if too much hot food has been placed inside. Also, ensure the working mode and temperature settings are appropriate and that the unit is not exposed to direct sunlight or heat sources.

The sound of running water inside the refrigerator is normal and indicates the flow of refrigerant. A louder sound when the compressor starts up is also normal; it will decrease once the speed stabilizes. The LED display provides error codes (ER0, ER1, ER2, ER3, ER4, ER5, ER9) to indicate specific issues such as temperature sensor short circuit, input under-voltage, DC fan over-current, compressor abnormal start, abnormal rotational speed, module temperature abnormality, or temperature sensor open circuit.

Maintenance Features

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for extending the life and ensuring the hygienic operation of the car refrigerator. The appliance should be cleaned inside and out with a clean, damp cloth every two weeks. For dirtier areas, a neutral detergent can be used, followed by wiping dry with a damp cloth. If excessive water accumulates, the drainage pipe at the bottom of the tank can be used to drain it.

Special attention should be given to the maintenance of plastic parts. Clean them frequently to properly protect the seals and avoid heavy impact during use. Prolonged contact of plastic parts with animal or vegetable oil can lead to deterioration, cracking, and unpleasant odors.

It is strictly forbidden to wash the refrigerator directly with water, as this can reduce electrical insulation and cause rust on sheet metal. Additionally, certain cleaning agents and tools should be avoided as they can damage the coated surface and plastic parts. These include alkaline detergents, soap, grinding powder, hot water, brushes, toluene water, gasoline, and alcohol.
